How to get hired: Lie & cheat
Globally renowned recruitment blog Tutti Recruitti spoke with personal branding expert and career coach Malacky Powers, and this is what he had to say:
"It's a dog-eat-dog world out there. You need to do everything possible to get ahead.
Lying, cheating, stealing - if you want to get out of the job-search-jungle, you do what you need to do.
People focus too much on long term stuff like learning 'things', developing 'themselves' and gaining 'achievements' when the only skill they really need is the ability to lie with consistency.
Students who attend our 3 day 'If you're not lying you're not trying' session at my career dōjō have a 320% higher chance of getting a job they don't deserve.
I help them understand that all successful people cheat - politicians, business leaders, Canadian athlete Ben Johnson - and to be as successful as them, they need to do the same.
Nobody else is telling the truth, so why should they?"
Malacky's book - 'From Sinner to Winner: Cheat your way to the top' - is out soon on Amazon and in other good book retailers.
