LinkedIn top tip for Recruiters: Change your profile picture to a moderately attractive female

"It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearance. The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible" - Oscar Wilde

Globally renowned recruitment blog Tutti Recruitti recently tasked their research team to test the theory that certain profile pictures produce significantly better results than others.

"We had exactly the same advert placed by 50 different fake LinkedIn profiles, each one with a different name and photo. Every profile also sent off 100 identical inmails to candidates who matched well for the job.

We used males and females with varying levels of age and attractiveness. We then carefully monitored the results, creating a dashboard to show response rate percentages, positive versus negative replies and various other metrics.

The results absolutely spoke for themselves."

Females on average received 600% higher advert views than males. The females classed as 'upper middle' on the attractiveness scale received a staggering 2300% higher response rate to inmails.

With such conclusive results, it begs the question... Could catfishing become the new tried and tested recruitment method?
